Selecting the right university is important. Over a lifetime, the benefits of a quality college education will far exceed its costs. But we realize that cost is an important factor, so we offer aid based on need and academic performance, and we encourage ALL students to apply for financial aid. Our goal at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ is to make a private Catholic-Franciscan university education available to as many students as possible. To be considered for need- or academic-based financial assistance, a student must first apply for admission. We encourage each student to apply for need-based aid by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For maximum award consideration, make sure your FAFSA is filed as soon as possible. There is no university-specific form or supplement to complete.

The FINANCIAL AWARD for this year's freshman class, including scholarships, grants, work-study & student loans was more than $32,000.
The AVERAGE COST TO ATTEND SBU for last year's freshman class was approximately $16,500.
SBU offers merit awards UP TO $26,000 for freshmen (based high school GPA, rigor of courses, and SAT/ACT scores when available) and UP TO $24,000 for transfer students (based on college GPA).
